PPF is better in protecting against UV rays, road debris and chips when compared with Ceramic Coating. Ceramic coating provides a glossy finish and hydrophobic properties rather than physical protection. Many clients combine both for ultimate protection.
With proper maintenance, ceramic coating lasts approximately 2+ years on average. We offer packages ranging from 1-year to 8-year protection with our XPEL Fusion Plus line.
Usually, Ceramic Coating hardens after about 24 hours, but it continues to cure and fully bonds to the car's paint after about 1 week. Curing speed varies with weather and humidity conditions.
Yes, the film is attached with a powerful adhesive to the glass which can also be removed without damaging the glass. In most cases, the window film is installed on the interior side of the window for longevity and protection from the elements.
Refrain from washing or exposing to rain for 5 days post-installation. Do not use shampoo or even hand wash the vehicle during this period. Remove dirt, droppings, and insects immediately, as organic matter damages wraps. Avoid petroleum-based car waxes as the chemicals they contain can damage vinyl wraps.
